DENTAL TECHNOLOGY
Advanced dental technology for accurate and minimal-discomfort care
Goduco Smiles is dedicated to providing the most effective preventative care. With the advanced dental technology at our Vernon Hills, IL, office, we can diagnose and provide conservative, early treatment for any oral health conditions that may develop. Our timely care can prevent the need for extensive restorative procedures in the future.
iTero® Digital Impressions
The iTero® scanner produces digital 3-D images of all of your teeth. This system eliminates the need for messy, uncomfortable impressions. Dr. Goduco can also instantly display the images on an exam room computer to explain your oral health and procedure options. iTero® is particularly helpful during Invisalign® treatment. Dr. Goduco can use the images to design comfortable aligner trays that will effectively straighten your teeth.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays can capture pictures of isolated teeth or your entire jaw. Dr. Goduco can use the x-rays to look for dental misalignment, impacted teeth, cavities, and other concerns. Digital x-rays are much sharper than standard film x-rays. We can also significantly and accurately magnify these images for more exact diagnoses and restorative treatment. In addition, digital imaging exposes patients to only a fraction of the radiation of traditional methods.
Waterlase Dentistry
Waterlase dentistry is one of the most advanced dental treatments available to Dentists today. Waterlase uses a patented technology that combines focused light energy with a stream of water for a highly precise, exceptionally gentle dental experience. Waterlase allows your dentist to perform a wide range of procedures with benefits including:
- Less pain and faster healing time, with less trauma to teeth and gums
- Less usage of anesthetic for most procedures
- Treatment of more than one part of the mouth in one visit, eliminating referrals and specialist visits in many cases.
- Making dental care a more relaxing experience for you!
EZLASE
Available in the 810 nm wavelength or the new 940 nm wavelength, the ezlase™ is designed to deliver the best clinical characteristics of existing diode lasers in one state-of-the-art system.
Its unique ComfortPulse™ settings deliver short, high-power cutting pulses with longer intervals for tissue thermal relaxation, which can provide both efficient cutting and greater patient comfort with less anesthetic. Imagine the benefit of working without packing cord or using astringents, the ease with which you will be taking impressions, or the simple pleasure of all the ezlase’s features.
iTero® Suite: Precision Digital Scanning for Modern Dentistry
The iTero® Suite offers cutting-edge digital scanning technology that enhances diagnostic precision and patient experience. From high-resolution
3D digital impressions to real-time treatment planning, iTero® eliminates the discomfort of traditional molds while delivering exceptional accuracy. It is especially valuable for
Invisalign® cases,
restorative planning, and
tracking oral changes over time. With iTero®'s TimeLapse technology, Dr. Goduco can visually show patients how their dental health is evolving—empowering informed decisions and proactive care.
The Wand®: Computer-Guided Anesthesia for a More Comfortable Experience
The Wand® is a revolutionary computer-assisted anesthesia delivery system that provides a more comfortable, controlled, and precise numbing experience. Unlike traditional syringes, The Wand® uses advanced technology to deliver local anesthetic
slowly and steadily, minimizing discomfort and anxiety. Patients often report
barely feeling the injection, making it ideal for children, anxious patients, and anyone seeking a more gentle approach to dental care. Dr. Goduco uses The Wand® to ensure your comfort from start to finish.
CBCT
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) technology provides highly detailed, 3D imaging of your teeth, jawbone, and surrounding structures, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning than traditional 2D X-rays. This advanced imaging is especially valuable for procedures like dental implants, All-on-X, and root canals, as it helps precisely map bone density, nerve locations, and anatomical structures before treatment begins. By using CBCT technology, Dr. Goduco can plan safer, more predictable procedures tailored to your unique anatomy.

Dr. Philip V. Goduco uses the latest dental technology. It helps him precisely place dental implants and to allow patients a digital preview of their smile before they proceed with treatment. He also uses nickel titanium tools for root canal therapy because it is flexible and produces better results.
