Providing Urgent and Emergency Dental CARE When You Need It the Most

We are open for dental emergencies!

The ADA recognizes that members of the public have questions about whether they should continue to visit their dentist during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rest assured, if you have a dental emergency, we are here to help.

Because the ADA is currently recommending dentists close their offices to all but emergency care, we're sharing their guidelines to help you determine your case. When in doubt, please call us - we're here to help, anytime, any day: (847) 816-0463.

Maintain good oral hygiene at home

While we must continue hand-washing, many underestimate the mouth as vital to preventing the spread of bacteria. As your body's main immuno-gatekeeper, the mouth restricts the entry of harmful bacteria that impacts our digestive and respiratory systems.

Now is a great time to up your at-home dental hygiene game so your teeth are clean and healthy.

Here are some tips:

Step 1: Brush your teeth for at least two minutes, making sure to brush along the gum line. Set a timer on your phone.

Step 2: Use a tongue scraper to thoroughly and gently clean your tongue. If you don’t have a tongue scraper, you can use your toothbrush, but a tongue scraper is ideal. Fresh breath, here we come!

Step 3: Clean between the teeth by using string floss or a water flosser.

Step 4: Rinse your entire mouth with mouthwash.

Step 5: Change your toothbrush every three to four months

First and foremost, your health and safety are our primary concern.

We want you to know at this time that our national and state dental organizations have recommended that every dental office postpone any elective dental procedure period through April 30. However, we will continue to be available for your emergency / urgent dental care . If you have a friend, co-worker, or family member who is not a patient of record in our practice, we will be happy to assist them as well.

Whether routine or emergency care, we want you to know that we have always followed the strictest safety protocols. Our office exceeds all local, state, ADA and CDC recommendations for infection control. We always have, and we will continue to be vigilant about protecting your health. During this situation, we have heightened our already stringent safety standards.

In order to best protect you and our team members, we are asking patients NOT to visit our office if you have ANY flu-like symptoms that include but are not limited to coughing, sneezing fever, or shortness of breath. Please call your primary care physician to render care and relief in this situation.

If you would like to skip our reception area and be escorted from our front door directly into your treatment room, we will be happy to text you when we are ready to commence your care. Just let our team know prior to your visit.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 847-816-0463. We wish you and your loved ones health and safety, and those who have been directly affected by the virus, a speedy and complete recovery. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual.

Best Regards

Dr. Goduco
